The purpose of the study is to identify a Recommended Plan that addresses current and future transportation needs in the study area as part of the Ministry’s ongoing review of safety and operational needs for the provincial highway network. The following provides a high-level overview of the intersection’s improvements:

  • Improve sight distances, upgrade the intersection to MTO standards, and reduce traffic delays.
  • Develop intersection and traffic staging options considering various factors such as field reviews, highway alignment, utilities, property, safety and etc.

The details of the proposed work will be further developed as the Preliminary Design progresses and will be presented to the public, agencies, Indigenous Communities, and stakeholders at two Public Information Centres.
